Discover lunar-like Pinnacles form one of Australia’s unique and fascinating natural landscapes. Formed over millions of years, thousands of tall limestone spires rise eerily out of the yellow desert sands of Nambung National Park, just outside the coastal town of Cervantes.

In under 3 hours from Perth, following the Indian Ocean Drive, we will transport yourself to another world, venturing into the Pinnacles along the scenic drive or walk trail.

Enjoy a beautiful day seeing the natural beauty Western Australia has to offer, as we take care of the driving, tour itinerary and hospitality arrangements for you.

Tour Itinerary

After pickup, the first stop of your pinnacles’ day tour is morning tea at seaside town Lancelin and take a browse on the coast. Next is an informative visit to the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Interpretive Centre.
We drive into the Pinnacles Desert along a four-km trail where you will have the unique experience of walking among the fascinating phenomenon of the Pinnacles.
Witness the Pinnacles Desert that contains thousands of limestone pillars, resembling an ancient ruin. In geological terms, the Pinnacles are a modern phenomenon, beginning to form as ‘recently’ as three and a half million years ago, and appearing as they are today between two million and twenty thousand years ago. Astonishing!
Enjoy a delicious lunch at Cervantes, before a drive to Thirsty Point to walk along the beautiful white sandy beaches, view sparkling aquamarine waters, and the nearby islands.
Visit Lake Thetis to view the Stromatolites, one of the earliest forms of life on our planet.
Early cyanobacteria in stromatolites are thought to be responsible for increasing the amount of oxygen in the primeval Earth’s atmosphere through their continuing photosynthesis. They were the first known organisms to photosynthesize and produce free oxygen. Lake Thetis Stromatolites are approximately 3000 years old. Another of Western Australia’s natural wonders.
We return to Perth at approximately 4:30pm.

This tour can be tailored to include Caversham Wildlife Park and or Lobster Shack Cervantes.
