After pickup, the first stop of the day for morning tea at seaside town Lancelin. Enjoy a browse of the coastal town with a delightful beach and the pristine white sand dunes.
An island offshore was named by French Captain Baudin in 1801 after P.F. Lancelin, a scientific writer. First settlement in the area dates from the 1940s when the area was used as a summer recreation area for farmers from further inland.
Next is an informative visit to the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Interpretive Centre.
We drive into the Pinnacles Desert and tour along a four-km dirt road where you will have the unique experience of walking among the fascinating phenomenon of the Pinnacles.
Witness on your Western Australian Pinnacles Day Tour the Pinnacles Desert that contains thousands of limestone pillars, resembling an ancient ruin.
In geological terms, the Pinnacles are a modern phenomenon, beginning to form as ‘recently’ as three and a half million years ago, and appearing as they are today between two million and twenty thousand years ago. Astonishing!
Lunch at Jurien Bay
Geraldton is a bustling town is the commercial centre for the Mid-West region, exporting Iron Ore, Mineral Sands, Wheat, Barley, and Western Australian Rock Lobster.
This afternoon visit the HMAS Sydney Memorial, which features a silver dome of 645 seagulls to represent the loss of HMAS Sydney sailors.
We also stop at the St Francis Xavier Cathedral which was built in stages from 1914 to its eventual opening in 1938. The Byzantine style architecture of this cathedral is one of Monsignor John Hawes’ greatest masterpieces.
We explore the Yamaji Art Centre which is Aboriginal owned and operated and provides professional services to support and develop Aboriginal artists living in the Lower Murchison region of Yamaji Country.
Explore the scenic coastline of Geraldton.
Northampton, one of the oldest settlements outside Perth today, classified by the National Trust as a Historic Town.
Visit Hutt Lagoon or the “pink lake” which produces beta carotene, a lucrative aquaculture crop estimated to be worth more than $50M a year worldwide.

Kalbarri protected at the Murchison River mouth and surrounded by stunning coastline, soaring river gorges, and protected bays.
Experience expansive views one hundred metres above the Murchison River Gorges from the new regional highlight Kalbarri Skywalk.
From here journey to the Shark Bay World Heritage Area and marvel at the astonishing world-class natural attractions in the region. Shark Bay is well known for its white beaches, turquoise waters, and rust-red sand dunes. It is primarily renowned for both its terrestrial and marine life. It is nature at its most pure.
Along the World Heritage Drive, we stop at Hamelin Pool to view Stromatolites, which are one of the earliest forms of life to evolve on our planet. The living fossils are part of the earth’s evolutionary history.
Visit Shell Beach which is home to billions of tiny Cardiid Cockle; the 60 km stretch of beach is covered to a depth of some seven to ten metres.
A stop at Eagle Bluff will give you a scenic view over the coast; you might be lucky enough to spot Lemon Sharks, Stingrays, Turtles, or Dugongs.

This morning, on day four of Perth to Darwin tour, experience a special breakfast whilst watching the dolphins come in close to the shore. After breakfast walk to the beach to see dolphin feeding and hear all about their lives in Shark Bay.
Join a three-hour boat cruise to see the dolphins in their natural environment and other wonderful sea creatures of the Shark Bay area, including dugongs, turtles, stingrays, lemon sharks, nervous sharks, and sponge dolphins.
After lunch, we head further north to Carnarvon, a regional hub that provides essential services to the surrounding areas. The township lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River and supports horticultural and fishing industries.
On the way stop at Gladstone scenic lookout overlooking the Gladstone National Park. The views are beautiful from the hill on an otherwise flat landscape. Also, nearby is the Woodleigh crater is a massive, buried meteorite impact structure located near Shark Bay in Western Australia, estimated to be roughly 364 million years old. Though estimates vary from 40 km to 160 km in diameter, it is considered one of Australia’s largest impact structures, formed by an asteroid or comet. Situated under Woodleigh Station in the Gascoyne region; it is entirely hidden beneath 50–400 meters of younger sediment. Found in 1997 through magnetic surveys and drilling data, showing a multi-ring structure.
In 2018, researchers discovered reidite in a drill core, a rare, high-pressure mineral formed only during extreme shock events (like meteor impacts), which helped confirm the crater’s immense size.

Carnarvon is referred to as the ‘food bowl’ of Western Australia, producing 80% of the state’s total fruit and vegetable crops and much of its seafood, with a thriving prawn, scallop, crab, and fishing industry.
Fun Fact: Carnarvon was the first location in Australia where bananas were grown! The first recorded arrival of bananas in Australia was in the early to mid-1800s planted by Chinese migrants. The banana industry in Carnarvon really got underway with a small planting in the 1940s.

Day 5 – Carnarvon to Exmouth
One Mile Jetty Heritage Precinct, & Space and Technology Museum

Carnarvon is a diverse laidback town where the outback meets the coast. It is recognised as a food bowl region, well known for its bananas, mangos, and luscious seafood. There is a rich indigenous culture, as well as stations producing wool and cattle.
We visit the Carnarvon One Mile Jetty Heritage Precinct. The One Mile Jetty was built in 1897 and was the first port in Australia to transport commercial livestock by the sea on a regular basis. State ships stopped in Carnarvon on average twice a week until they ceased operations in 1966.
This morning, we visit the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum, Carnarvon Tracking Station, and the OTC Satellite Earth Station. The station was built to support NASA’s Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab programs.
Visit the Bibbawarra Bore an unusual sight. The artesian bore is 914metres deep and hot water gushes out at 97,741 litres (21,500 gallons) an hour. The temperature of the water 68 degrees Celsius.
Stock troughs were built in the 1940s to transport the water along the stock route for the sheep and cattle. It was funded in part by the Boolathana Pastoral Company and a government grant. The water travelled along the 175-metre-long trough, cooling as it flowed along it. This meant by the time it reached the sheep and cattle it was cool enough to drink. The trough was the longest in the Southern Hemisphere.
Lunch at Coral Bay.
The UNESCO Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area was established in 2011 and is regarded as one of the last great ocean paradises. The area was listed due to its marine and terrestrial assets including rare flora and fauna, including the Whale Shark with 300 to 500 of these megafaunas gathering at Ningaloo annually.
The Ningaloo Reef is one of the longest near-shore reefs in the world and Australia’s largest fringing reef system, stretching three hundred kilometres from Red Bluff going north along the coast to Muiron Islands the north and Bundegi Beach east in the Exmouth Gulf.
Experience a glass bottom boat and snorkelling cruise on the Ningaloo Reef. Not only will you see the reef passing by under the glass, but you will also get the chance to snorkel at two beautiful locations.
A highlight is to see the large coral formation known is Ayres Rock. Immerse yourself amongst hundreds of tropical fish and view magnificent coral gardens in this underwater wonderland.
Continue tour to Exmouth and visit the Charles Knife Gorge for fabulous views of Exmouth Gulf.
Enjoy a drive on the top of Cape Range with deep gullies and gorges dropping away below us. We end the day at the historical Wapet Oil Well No. 3 site before arriving at Exmouth for our three night stay.

Day 6 – Exmouth
Whaleshark Swim

This morning you will be picked up and taken to Tandabiddi boat ramp to board the Whaleshark Swim vessel with a commentary on the history of the Exmouth, the coastline, the Cape Range National Park, and about the marine flora and fauna that lives in the Ningaloo Reef.
You may even see a kangaroo, echidna, or a jaunty dingo on the drive around the Cape.
Join the award-winning team at Three Islands Whale Shark Dive exploring this magnificent aquatic wonderland and experience a wildlife encounter like no other with our breathtaking whale shark tours in Exmouth.
Once on board the vessel you will be safety briefed and explained what to expect. A spotter plane is used to lead the vessel to today’s whale shark swim location.
Only up to ten people are allowed in the water with the whale shark taking turns within the group for your once in a lifetime experience.
Lunch is served on board with snacks and water. All you must do is bring your personal effects such as swimwear, hat, towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses a change of clothes and a weather jacket if the breeze picks up on the way back to shore.

Day 7 – Exmouth

Spend today enjoying all the highlights of Exmouth, including a drive along the Ningaloo Reef side of Cape Range National Park to visit scenic sights.
As we are driving out of town you will see a very large landmark the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station, you will not be able to miss Tower Zero, which is one of the largest towers in the southern hemisphere.
The naval station played an important role during World War II. It was the base for passing messages between Australian and United States’ command centres and their ships and submarines.
First stop is the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse and lookout which offers spectacular views along the coastline, Exmouth and the Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt
Continue to join 11 am cruise at Yardie Creek. View the stunning gorges, unique flora, and fauna, and hear the local aboriginal history and the beautiful natural environment.
A highlight is spotting the endangered black footed rock wallabies cape range. Yardie Creek is a mecca for eco tourists seeking a pristine, natural, and isolated place that is home to abundant wildlife which includes corellas, ospreys, ocean fish that have become locked in by tides and or cyclones.
After a picnic lunch, we head off to swim and snorkel at the famous Turquoise Bay. Drift over the colourful coral and see fish, rays, and turtles. And visit other bays along the way back to Exmouth.

Day 8 – Exmouth, Nanutarra, Paraburdoo, Karijini National Park

After breakfast travel to Karijini National Park, Western Australia’s second largest national park.
Today’s highlights are the ever-changing landscape which is characteristic of the Ashburton outback station country visit Nanutarra Roadhouse. Nanutarra Station started 1879. Paraburdoo a 40-year-old purpose-built mining town that lies on the desert fringe of the Hamersley Ranges. It is renowned for its beautiful scenery, wildlife diversity, and interesting brief history – including UFO sightings, the discovery of 200-year-old bones and royal visits.
The scenery driving in to Karijini National Park is extraordinary a spectacular introduction of stay in the Karijini National Park.

Two billion years in the making, Karijini is one of Australia’s largest and most spectacular national parks. Follow a trail or tour through some of the oldest rock formations on Earth, exploring deep canyons, cavernous gorges, crystal clear rock pools, and waterfalls. Bring your bathers to luxuriate in the pools.
Enjoy a walk among the mulga, spinifex, eucalypts, melaleuca and some 50 varieties of acacia, keeping a keen eye out for the euro (rock wallaby), dingoes, 133 species of birds and 92 species of amphibians and reptiles.
We will be visiting Dales Gorge, Joffre Gorge, Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool, Oxer Look Out and more.

Day 10 – Karijini NP - Port Hedland

After breakfast we set off out of Karijini NP and travel to Port Hedland. On the way the terain changes from Iron bearing Ranges splilling out on the the plains with vast visitas spreading out around us as we tour along. We travel through Yandeyarra Aboriginal Reserve, Stations and passing braham cross cattle grazing.
We are also in Road Train region with iron ore trucks towing up to 6 trailers of ore travel to and from the Iron Ore Mines to Port Hedland Harbour. Like masses ants traveling the Great Northern Highway.
As we are getting close to Port Hedland we start to see the railway lines with iron ore carriges converging into the harbour area.
At Port Hedland we will take a look around and watch the helicopters take the Ship Pilots out to the waiting Mega Ships to come in with powerful and highly manoeuvrable tugs to escort the ships in. See if you can count how many waiting ships are sitting at anchor on the skyline.

Day 11 – Port Hedland - Broome

This morning travel from Port Hedland to Broome. Along the way see vast stretches of the open landscape as the highway skirts the Great Sandy Desert.
Keep an eye out for raptors, brolgas, bustards, willy-willy’s, wallaby’s, and of course the unspoiled coastline which is never far away.
We will stop for lunch at Eighty Mile Beach, which is the longest uninterrupted beach in Western Australia.
A leisurely morning. After check out at 10am we continue to Broome.
Broome originally founded as a pearling port over a hundred years ago now boasts a multicultural population of many nationalities lured here by the promise of finding their fortunes.
Koepanger, Malay, Chinese, European and Aboriginal cultures have all blended to create a captivatingly friendly and flamboyant personality that is the heart and soul of Broome.
As a wild west outpost Broome’s history has certainly been colourful. Local indigenous culture, swashbuckling buccaneers, colonial grandeur, Japanese pearl divers, heroic pilots, and even bombed by the Japanese.
At Sunset we drive on to Cable Beach to enjoy a sunset bubbles and beer watching the camels on Cable Beach and the fantastic iconic Broome sunset.

Your tour starts in our Pearl Nursery where you will see how expert team nurtures Pinctada maxima oysters through seeding and harvesting to produce the world-renowned Australian South Sea Pearl.
Soak up the stunning scenery in the new state of the art electric boat, Mimi Pearl. In the calm waters of Willie Creek, view an oyster long-line in action where oysters on display to show visitors first-hand what takes place at our open water sea leases. Keep an eye out for amazing wildlife including our resident saltwater crocodiles, barramundi, and brolgas.
Discover the journey of our Australian South Sea Pearls. Learn the complex anatomy of the Pinctada maxima oyster, how it forms nacre to create the world’s finest pearls, and how it differs from other pearls seen around the globe. Depart Broome and travel east to Derby. Visit Boab Prison Tree. This huge tree is believed to be around 1,500 years old and has a girth of 14.7 metres. It was used as staging point for prisoners being walked into Derby in the early days.
At Derby, the Sculptures on the Marsh. The Kimberley, one of the oldest and unique parts of Australia is also home to the Derby “Sculpture on the Marsh” Art Project. It is a public art project aimed at promoting the region’s cultural identity and celebrating its unique character.
The Marsh Art is best enjoyed at sunrise or sunset. The eight locally designed and manufactured sculptures can be admired as you wander leisurely along the fascinating Derby Marsh. The concept is the brainchild of Mark Norval, renowned local Artist, and driven supporter of Indigenous Art
The Mowanjum Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre is a creative hub for the Woddordda (Worrorra), Ngarinyin and Wunambal Gambera language groups who make up the Mowanjum community situated 10km from Derby, Western Australia.
United in their belief in Wandjina as a sacred spiritual force and creator of the land, the Mowanjum community are custodians of Wandjina law and iconography.
The Art Centre is home to artist studios, gallery space, a community-based museum, and one of Australia’s longest running Indigenous cultural festivals- the annual Mowanjum Festival

Alternatively experience Mimbi Caves Tour, visit Mimbi Caves at the heart of Gooniyandi country, is part of the 350 million year old Devonian Reef system and a place of deep spiritual significance. Radiocarbon dating from ancient fireplaces confirm that Aboriginal people have inhabited this part of the Kimberley for more than 40,000 years.
Join the Girloorloo guides on an insightful tour of Mimbi Caves, one of the most significant Devonian fossil sites in the world. Start the tour with a walk between towering karst cliffs, stopping to taste bush tucker and traditional medicines.
From the cave entrance, the Gooniyandi people will guide you by torchlight, revealing beautiful limestone rock formations, stalagmites, shawls, flowstones, and sparkling calcite crystals, and sharing Dreamtime stories of this extraordinary subterranean world.

At Halls Creek visit the extraordinary China Wall, a sub-vertical quartz rock protruding six metres off the ground. Drive across the original causeway crossing into Old Town home to the first gold discovery mine WA in 1885.

Day 15 – Kununurra The Grotto & El Questro Wilderness

On the road from Kununurra to Wyndham, you will find The Grotto, a deep gorge that can be reached by 140 steps (with no handrail), with a swimming hole and Wet Season waterfall.
The Grotto is a magnificent gorge that provides a picturesque & safe swimming spot. The 120-metre cliff face drops into the water, becoming a spectacular waterfall during the wet season. Swim in the still refreshing waters of this natural chasm.
On to El Questro Wilderness Park to explore the park.
Emma Gorge is part of the Cockburn Ranges. A scenic trail takes you along changing vegetation to crystal clear pools and waterfalls. The gorge is characterised by scree slopes and cliff face escarpments reaching up to 120m on both sides of the trail. The bulk of these cliff faces are made up of Cockburn sandstone and large quartz sandstone. The strata remain largely horizontal as they were laid down 1700 million years ago. Ripple patterns on the rocks were created when sediment was deposited under shallow tidal waters millions of years ago.
The trail is 3.2 KM and takes 2hours without swim. Terrain mostly flat with some short steep sections. Rough track with many obstacles, loose and slippery. Track is well signposted.

This morning, we drive to Lake Argyle for the best and only way to experience the full length of Lake Argyle on the Best of Lake Argyle cruise. This trip includes all the highlights from our Sunset Magic trip and much more. From the rugged northern end to the vast expanses of the southern reaches and covering up to 120km in between, this is a must-do for anyone wanting to experience the heart and soul of our beautiful lake!
Bring your binoculars the bird is the word in the lake’s Southern wetlands, being home to a myriad of birdlife that sometimes numbers into the tens of thousands! Take a gander through the binoculars (provided by us, but your welcome to bring your own) for an up-close look at the many distinct species of birds and other wildlife including wallabies and crocodiles.
We will stop on a remote island to fossick for the intriguing Zebra Rock. Unique to Lake Argyle, this rock is alluring with its perfect stripes and spots that can appear to be painted on. We will cruise past the submerged site of ‘Argyle Downs,’ the Durack Family’s Homestead, while listening to stories about the pioneering families and how they began the pastoral industry in the Eastern Kimberley. We will enjoy the changing colours reflecting across the lake near Monsmont Island, the best spot on the Lake for sunset! Enjoy some delicious local Ord Rivers produce for afternoon tea before stopping for a refreshing swim (don’t forget your bathers!) and complimentary beer, wine, or champagne – the perfect end to a magnificent day on Lake Argyle.

After breakfast we are transferred to Kununurra Airport for a awesome Scenic flight over the Bungle Bungle in the Purnululu National Park
From an aircraft, Purnululu National Park is an imposing sight. This 2 hour scenic flight takes you on an unforgettable adventure over the Bungle Bungle Range, Lake Argyle, the Argyle Diamond Mine and Ord River Irrigation Area. This morning, we join the Timeless Land 3 Gorge Tours allows guests to experience the first 3 gorges at a relaxed pace. your experienced Guides will share the history, culture, and stories of the Nitmiluk Region as you travel through the Gorges.
Gorges are separated by natural rock barriers, therefore walking between the gorges is required on all tours to change boats. The walkways are man-made, however are uneven in areas as they follow the natural contours of the bush landscape. The pathways include steps with handrails. A moderate level of mobility is required.

Sturdy fully enclosed shoes with socks, which must completely cover the foot, enclosing the whole top of the foot (NO high heels), long sleeves to the wrist and long pants to the ankles. The only acceptable skin that can be exposed is that of the head and hands. Disposal coveralls are available to buy if needed. All participants MUST have a 0.00% zero alcohol breath reading. Failure to meet the above requirements will result in non-participation and zero refund.
